I’m Andrew Martinez. I’m an audio engineer and sound designer based out of Long Island.

I would classify myself as a diversely experienced and technically proficient audio engineer. I would also describe myself as a lover of music, film, video, and oral storytelling. I’m passionate about creating quality content and using sound to help people tell their stories.

On past projects I’ve been responsible for several aspects of post-production, including sound design, sound and dialogue editing, mixing, and Foley. These projects varied from independent short films, to web series, to radio and podcast dramas.

In live sound, I have held the positions of front of house mixer, sound technician, and assistant audio engineer. I have worked with bands of many different styles and genres, in both indoor and outdoor venues. Through working both small and large budget shows, I have developed practical and effective techniques for providing quality sound.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work with some very talented musicians in recent years. My primary functions in these instances were recording, editing, and mixing. However, being that I am also a classically trained musician, I feel that I not only brought a technical know-how to the table; I also provided an artistic ear that allowed for a more engaging and communal creative process to take place.
